I love quotes, whether they be lyrics, dialogue from movies — anything. I've collected a long list that’s languished on the “About Me” section of my Facebook profile for five years, so I figured I’d give this a try.

This will be a blog series — one quote that I love, every day. Here’s today’s:

I know this sounds like angsty bullshit — because it is. But I feel it. I was actually listening to the cover of this by CHVRCHES when it stuck out.

It’s my downfall — I try to save the people I date, and I lose myself in the process.

I just went through another breakup, so I’m not doing my best right now. I keep taking off my glasses at my desk, and holding my head in my hands. I’m exhausted, and feeling pretty down.

On the bright side, I cleaned all day yesterday, and my apartment feels like home again. It just takes a while to get back to normal.

This is my fourth “breakup” in a year. I put that in quotes because the others were just people I dated for a short time. They still hurt though, perhaps more than they should.

Anyway, I’ll post another quote tomorrow — hopefully one that’s a bit more uplifting. 😬
